Techniques Used

At Dr. Zand’s office, we offer more choices than ever to create that beautiful smile.

Traditional Braces:
Recent innovations in braces have resulted in metal braces that are smaller and less obvious than braces that were used 10 years ago. Metal braces are the most common and effective way to move teeth into their correct position.

Clear Braces:
Clear Braces are a more discrete version of traditional braces. Although they function in the same manner as metal braces, the brackets themselves are clear, made from tooth-color ceramic or plastic brackets. The result? A less noticeable look.

Invisalign:
The newest treatment option is the Invisalign system. Created to fix the less severe dental cases, it’s a popular option that involves wearing a series of clear removable aligners that gradually move your teeth into position. Ask the Orthodontist if you are a candidate for Invisalign.

Additional appliances may be used in your treatment, including a Biteplate, Palatal Expander or Headgear, depending on your age and your unique case. Retainers are always used to keep teeth in proper position after braces come off.
